I was born and raised in Chicago, coming from a large family with eight siblings. I attended Mount Carmel High School and Loyola University, graduating in 1978 with a Degree in Biology. I went on to The University of Illinois and graduated in 1982 as a Doctor of Dental Surgery.
I’ve been in practice for 34 years, and I am not in competition with anyone, but myself. I love what I do. That passion propels me to do great work. My wife would say I eat and breathe dentistry. There is probably some truth in that. I wake up excited for the day to begin so I can work on my craft. I guess not everyone can say that. I consider dentistry to be challenging, exciting, and artistic.
Your smile is often the first thing a person notices about you, so what can you do to protect such an important asset? General dentistry provides the first line of defense against oral health problems. The dentist is the primary care provider for patients of all ages and maintains the ability to prevent, diagnose and treat a variety of dental conditions. Whether you are coming in for a dental cleaning or gum disease treatment, your dentist provides general dentistry services to meet your growing needs.
Our families mean the world to us, so why not ensure their health is taken care of? In order to remain healthy and happy, it is important to take care of your oral health, too. To help your entire family maintain healthy, glowing smiles, it is important to visit your family dentist at least twice a year.
Here are some reasons why visiting your family dentist is important.
Have you ever found yourself looking in the mirror and wishing your smile was better looking? Don’t worry if you have, we’ve all been there before. To help you love your smile again, we offer cosmetic dentistry in Arlington Heights.
Today there are more than 100 million individuals missing at least one tooth. With so many people missing teeth, what solutions are available that will match the appearance and functionality of your natural teeth? Dental implants!
With the availability of dental implants, our dentist can provide further comfort and stability. Dental implants can help to restore your smile back to looking and functioning naturally. It’s so good that no one will even know you were missing a tooth; all that is left is your glowing smile.
There are many reasons we may find ourselves in need of oral surgery. While the word surgery may bring to mind long procedures, painful recovery periods, and the need to travel for such a specialty, this is no longer the case. To make this decision even easier, we offer many oral surgery options right in Arlington Heights.
The dreaded root canal therapy. Most people dread hearing the news that they need a root canal. While root canal therapy is a common dental procedure to eliminate infections in the teeth, it continues to place a negative image in patients’ minds. However, patients can rest easy knowing our dentist offers the most comfortable, efficient experience possible when root canal therapy is needed.
We need our teeth to eat properly, so when one is damaged it can take a toll on your day-to-day life. In order to continue to protect your teeth and overall well-being, it is important to repair damaged teeth. At our office, dental crowns are utilized to perform the following:
Cover dental implants
Prevent a cracked tooth from becoming worse
Restore an existing filling in jeopardy of becoming loose or dislocated
When multiple teeth are missing, what are your options? While there might be numerous procedures available, some might cost more than you are willing to pay. It is important to understand your best options for restoring your smile when multiple teeth are missing. One option to consider is dental bridges.
Are you looking for a way to create a brighter, whiter, and straighter smile? We’ve got the solution for you! Partial or full tooth loss, if left untreated not only affects your self-confidence but it also increases the risk of developing other systemic health and nutritional problems. Dentures can bring back your smile and make chewing and eating a normal process again.
Dentures are removable dental prosthesis which replaces natural teeth. Dentures are designed to resemble natural teeth and are carefully crafted to match your smile’s appearance.
